Bella Totino

ARTIST STATEMENT

I have lived and worked all my adult life in the Edmonton area. I completed the Advertising Design program at Grant McEwan College in 1977. In 1981, after some years of agency experience in Edmonton, I joined Verne Busby in Totino Busby Design Inc., an independent design and illustration studio. Art and design talent at Totino Busby have attracted a wide range of clientele.

I also studied for several years at the Red Deer College Summer Series program. Over the years I have created works of art using a variety of media including cast concrete, silk screened fabric, cast plaster and glass mosaic as well as painted works in acrylic.

My current art comes from a variety of skill sets developed over the years based on a background of graphic design and fine art. Along with Verne Busby I have worked on several public art projects including murals, kinetic sculpture and glass mosaic panels. Most recently completed is a large scale exterior painted steel sculpture in Edmonton.

My studio is in St. Albert, Alberta.
