ARTIST STATEMENT

My recent work is a celebration of the language of decoration within the formal structure of wheel-thrown pottery forms. Sources of decoration are found in Persian and Oriental ceramic history as well as the wildflowers and birds of our Canadian landscape. I am striving for a balance of culture and nature in the creation of this work.
